Lillian Caldwell Minch, 87, 1124 Meadow Lane, Portland, passed away Monday in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare.

She was born on May 2, 1923 in Floyd, WV, the daughter of Jackson and Martha Keith. She was married in 1939 to Otis Caldwell and he died in 1962, then on July 1, 1966 she married Howard Minch and he died September 28, 2008. She had worked at Jay Garment and retired from C.T.S. in Berne in 1974. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Portland.

Surviving are one son, Ron Caldwell of Union City, IN; one daughter, Sue Geeting of Ridgeville; five grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Arnold presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
