Tallapoosa County, Alabama) Enlisted April 26, 1861 at Unions Springs, Alabama by R. H. Powell; wounded June 27, 1862 at Mechanicsville; lost his right arm in action May 8, 1864 at the Battle of Spottsylvania. He married Louisiana Antinette Motley, the daughter of Coleman Pendleton Motley and Hester Ann Perkins.
