Sylvia Christine Willhite of Coweta, age 86, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and aunt, passed away Sunday evening, November 11, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. Sylvia was born on April 12, 1926 in Coalgate, OK and was the daughter of Troy and Anna Bell (Martin) Curtis. She and Homer Willhite were united in marriage on July 31, 1948 in Broken Arrow, OK and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2012. They were married for 64 years. Sylvia was a homemaker for most of her life. Sylvia attended the Weer Church of God of Prophecy in Broken Arrow, OK. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, and gardening.

Sylvia is lovingly survived by her seven children, Doris Murray and husband, Richard, of Coweta, Scheryl Reynolds and husband, Rick, of Broken Arrow, Beverly Replogle and husband, Bill, of Coweta, Paula Replogle and husband, Bud, of Porter, Bruce Willhite and wife, Darla, of Coweta, Kim Pearson and husband, Jerry, of Catoosa and Kelli Miller and husband, Lawrence, of Broken Arrow; her two sisters, Irene Reynolds and husband, Lloyd, of Red Fork, OK and Flossie Sanders of Claremore, OK; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Willhite, her parents, Troy and Anna Bell Curtis, one brother and two great grandchildren.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Sylvia are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Community Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Chaplain Tommy Kline and Pastor Aaron Swensen officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are her children, Doris Murray, Scheryl Reynolds, Beverly Replogle, Paula Replogle, Bruce Willhite, Kim Pearson and Kelli Miller.
