Bernice C. Hahn, 95, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born April 30, 1917, in Decatur County, IN, Bernice was the daughter of the late William H. and Otillia Pfeiffer Picker. She married Maurice Hahn on August 25, 1937. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1980.

Bernice was a homemaker. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, rosary society, and Jacob's Prayer Line. She was a 4-H leader for several years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Currens of Plainfield; one brother, William Picker of Greensburg; two sisters, Velma Ortman of Millhausen, and Mary Ellen Ploughe of Frankfort, IN; grandchildren, Julie Salmon, Jason and Justin Currens, and Darby and Ty-Lin Hahn; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bernice was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Hahn; three sisters, Ethel Scheidler Kohlman, Betty Keilor and Eula Rose Cook; and five brothers, Harold, Arthur, Edwin, Lester and Murriel Picker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. A rosary service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
