Jill Marie Roberts, age 22, of 5430 Preston Road, Shelby, died early Saturday morning, December 16, 2000, at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Bellevue.
Jill was born November 29, 1978 in Shelby, the daughter of William L. and Judy A. (Miller) Roberts. She was a 1997 graduate of Plymouth High School and was on the homecoming court and girls basketball teams. Jill was active in Future Farmers of America and New Addition 4-H Club. She
was a senior at the Universtiy of Toledo majoring in elementary education and loved working with kids. She was employed at Gino's Pizza in Toledo.
She is survived by her parents; 2 sisters Mariane Roberts of Ashland, and Andrea Roberts of Shelby; 2 brothers: William Roberts and Scott Roberts both of Shelby; her maternal grandmother, Rosemary (Reber) Miller of Shelby; her paternal grandmother: Janet (Scott) Argo of Shelby; her paternal grandfather: Donald Roberts of Shelby; her Godparents: Hager and Joan Hicks of Shelby; a special friend, John Frank of Toledo, and his parents, Kim and Doug Kohl of Toledo; aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George Miller in 1977.
Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where a Christian Wake Service will be held on Monday at 8:45PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby with Father John C. Missler officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
