LONG BOTTOM - Mary E. Offutt, 91, Long Bottom, died Friday, July 17, 1998 in the Rocksprings Rehabilitation Center, Pomeroy.
Born April 19, 1907 in Calhoun County, W.Va., daughter of the late George and Nancy Jarvis, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Opha W. Offutt of Pomeroy, and George L. Offutt of Cleves; a daughter, Opal Morris of Racine; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie Moran of Weston, W.Va., and Sylvis Pursley of Ona, W.Va.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Offutt; and by three sisters and one brother.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Ewing Funeral Home, Pomeroy, with the Rev. Roland Wildman officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Middleport.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
