FORT WORTH -- Maggie Victoria Holt Warren, 94, went home to be with her Lord on December 7, 2004, a day after her 94th. birthday.
Born in Blum, to John Wylie and Flora Agnes Holt, she had been a Fort Worth resident since 1929, when she married O.W. "Boley" Warren. Maggie and Boley were blessed with four children, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Bridgewood Church of Christ, but was a vital part of the Meadowbrook congregation throughout its existence. There she taught many sixth-graders in her Sunday morning class, for more than 25 years, as well as personal Bible studies and occasionally Ladies Bible Class. Her life and service to the Lord was a great example and inspiration to those who knew her well. She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Maggie was preceded in death by her husband and a great-grandson, Eric Warren. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Joyce Carr of Haltom City, Don and Alice Warren of Arlington, Reda and Bryan Day of San Diego, Calif., Jack and Donna Warren of Bedford; brother Leon Holt of Rio Vista; sisters, Helen Hackler of Cleburne, Ellen Jean of Burleson, Betty Bayse of Cleburne, Elsie Hill of Blum; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral: Thursday, 10 a.m. at Bridgewood Church of Christ 6516 Brentwood Stair Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76112. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 to 9 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home.
