Word was received in the city on Friday of the death of Mrs. George Burnell, a former well-known resident of Grand Island, which occurred at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. John Alavie, at Council Bluffs, Ia., The remains will be brought to this city and taken to the home of A. L. Goodwin, 407 W. Fourth St. Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's Catholic church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
