Edwin A. Kenney, Missoula, MT was born in Guilford, Vt. in 1844. He went to Yale and studied law. He was a Captain in the civil war [15th CT infantry]. In 1868, he was stationed in Bozeman, MT. After discharge, he engaged in business with Hugh Hoppy, establishing a trading post in Livingston. In 1874, he moved to Missoula to teach school. He was elected sheriff. In 1883, he engaged in the saloon business with Hiram Belgle. He married Miss Pelkey of Missoula on January 1, 1875.
