SANTA MONICA, CA - God called Cindy from this life after a courageous battle with cancer. Cindy was born in Salem, Oregon, attending St. Joseph's Grade School and Sacred Heart Academy. She moved to California in 1976, ultimately settling in Santa Monica where she met her long-time companion, Tom Hoffman. She worked as an optician on Rodeo Drive and in Westwood for about 20 years. Cindy loved the warm California weather which allowed riding her motorcycle and beach walking year-round. She and Tom spent many happy hours riding through the Malibu canyons.

In addition to Tom, who gave here loving care during her illness, Cindy's best friend was her sweet pit bull, Abby, who rarely left Cindy's side. After adopting Abby from an animal shelter, Cindy became passionate about animal rescue and on a vacation traveled to Utah to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society. Cindy became an avid Oregon football fan and was thrilled to attend the Rose Bowl last January to see the Ducks win.

Cindy is survived by Tom and Abby, her parents, Richard and Shirley Parker, sister Laurie Goodspeed (Dennis), brothers Steve Parker and Michael Parker (Cora), all of Salem, and 11 nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
