On November 9, 2012, Renee was once again embraced in the arms of her parents, husband, and son. She was born on a beautiful spring day April 24, 1943, to Edward and Melva Thomas. She was raised and educated in South Ogden.

Renee worked for Sears, K-Mart and retired in 2009 from Autoliv.

She married Jack McKay Sackett in July, 1960. This union was blessed with 2 beautiful sons. They later divorced. She married James Hunter in October, 1984. Together they enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with her sons, camping, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and metal detecting.

Renee found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. On Thanksgiving she was greeted at the door with an arm load of pies. On Christmas Eve grandma would always bring the cookies for Santa and make sure the reindeers had plenty of carrots. She was a very kind and loving person. She had a very special relationship with her nieces and nephews. They often talk about the sleepovers at Aunt Nee's spent hunting night crawlers.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (Chris) Sackett of Roy; her sister, Sandra (Dick) Raun of Ogden; her brother, Ricky Thomas of Clinton; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Dylan & Gage Sackett of Roy; Tess & Jaxson Sackett of Huntsville; her nieces, Vicki (Lee) Quirk of Washington; Kathy Raun of Salt Lake; her nephews, Dale (Lea) Thomas and Shane Thomas, both of Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Troy J. Sackett.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Family will greet friends prior to the services on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd.
