Anna W. Lane, 87, of 407 W. Union St., an Edwardsville area resident the past 50 years, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Madison County Nursing Home, where she had been a patient the past month.
Mrs. Lane was born Sept. 15, 1889, in Alhambra Township, daughter of the late George and Louisa Maurer Hiller.
She was married April 20, 1938, in St. Charles, Mo., to Charles E. Lane. He died Jan. 5, 1972.
Surviving are daughters Mrs. Robert (Mabel) Vanausdoll of O'Fallon, Mrs. Everett (Verna) Turnbeaugh of Edwardsville and Mrs. Gordon (Fern) McClanahan of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren, and brothers Robert Hiller of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Albert Hiller of Alhambra. Two sons and two daughters are deceased.
Mrs. Lane was a member of First Baptist Church and of the Edwardsville Shut-In Club.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in Weber Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Holmen, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
