Mr. McCoy's obituary provides McCoy family information:
ISAAC D. MCCOY PIONEER CITIZEN FOUND DEAD SUNDAY MORNING
Isaac D. Mccoy, who made his home in St. Francois county for more than 50 years, died suddenly, Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emmett Jones, in Desloge, where he was residing. He was found dead in bed, Sunday morning, the exact hour of his death having not been known. Appearances indicate, however, that he had not been dead any great lenght of time. He was 75 years of age. He had not been well since the death of his wife, October 15, 1922. She had died on the family home on a farm a mile and a half east of Bismark. He had seemed as well as usual however, Saturday night, having eaten a hearty supper, and having talked with the family until 9 o'clock when he retired. His little granddaughter, Margaret Jones, 9 years of age, slept with him. She said that she heard him making a peculiar noise, but thought nothing of it and went to sleep. Isaac Mccoy was born in Washington County, Tenn., September 13, 1847. He was married to Miss Nancy E. George, December 7, 1870. At the age of 21 years, he was converted and united with the Freewill Baptist Church at his native home in Tennessee. After coming to Bismark in 1872, he united with the Methodist Church, retaining his membership there until the time of his death. A short funeral service was held at the Jones residence, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. B. Ward of Desloge. The remains were taken to Bismark Methodist Church, where a service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. W. Ham. Interment was made in the Odd Fellow Cemetery at Bismark. He survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emmett Jones of Desloge; and Mrs. M. L. Hogg, of St. Louis; two sons, C. D., of Popular Bluff, and S. R. , of St. Louis; one brother, W. R. of Bismark; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret George, of Quick City, Mo., and Mrs. Mary George of Chuckey City, Tenn., and a host of other relatives and friends.
