She was baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran
faith and was a member of the
Nain Lutheran Church in
Newell.
Ella attended grade school
and high school in Homer, Neb.
She furthered her education
by attending Grandview College in Des Moines, N.B.T.
Business College and Morningside College in Sioux City and
Buena Vista College in Storm
Lake.
During part of her life Ella
was a teacher, teaching in
schools in Sac, Buena Vista and
Allamakee Counties.
Ella was a member of the
Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa
Gamma, an honorary sorority
for women in the field of
education. She was also a
member of the Order of
Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; one brother,
Thorvald, and three sisters,
Olga, Nanna and Dagmar.
Sheis survived by one sister,
Stella Tanner of Sheldon; and
many nieces and nephews.
