Delephine was born May 16, 1913 on a country farm in Sac County to
Charles and Edna (Heath) Barnhiil. She received her education through the
8th grade in country schools in Sac County.
Delephine (Barnhill) and Glen Uren were married November 27, 1934 at the Nemaha parsonage. To this union Patricia (Mrs. Jerry Westcott) and Virginia (Mrs. Jim Hunter) were born. They lived on a farm near Sulpher Springs for 36 years and then built a new home and moved to Newell in the
spring of 1979.
She had a great love for her church and their many activities. Delephine also enjoyed doing many crafts and hand work which she shared with her family and many friends.
Delephine passed away on February 28; 2000 at the Methodist Manor in Storm Lake, Iowa after a lingering illness.
Delephine was preceded! in-death by her parents, sister Alta, and brothers Harry and Delmar Barnhill.
Delephine leaves to mournn her husband Glen, Patricia and Jerry Westcott, Sioux Rapids, and Virginia and James Hunter, Spencer, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, as well as many friends.
