Marvin Lavaine Hirsh was
born on September 21,1927 in
Verdigre, Neb., the son of Frank
and Rose (Juracek) Hirsh. He
received his education in Verdigre
schools, graduating in 1945.

He entered the United
States Army in 1945 as a private
first class and was honorably
discharged on August 31,1947.

Marvin was united in marriage
to Charlotte Gnewuch on
October 8, 1950 at First Trinity
Church in Bloomfield, Neb.
Marvin farmed for 44 years.
He served as an elder and was a
member of the Men's Club at
St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Marvin was active in his community
as a former board
member of Newell Coop Elevator
and as a member of the
American Legion and Lions
Club.

He is survived by his wife
Charlotte, Newell; four children: Curtis Hirsh and his wife
Carol, Austin, Tex., Debra
Jacobson and her husband
Steve, Omaha, Neb., Craig
Hirsh and his wife Glennys,
Omaha, Neb., and Kevin Hirsh
and his wife Michelle, Harrison, Ark.; seven grandchildren:
Justin Roush, Shiloh and T.J.
Jacobson, Judy and Ian Hirsh,
and Kelsey and Patrick Hirsh;
two brothers: Donald Hirsh,
Omaha, Neb., and Clarence
Hirsh, Bloomfield, Neb.; two
sisters: Marcella Harrom, Redding, Cal., and Darlene Garton,
Omaha, Neb., and many relatives and friends.
