Frank Lea and Geneva Price were twenty-one when they married on July 29, 1921 in Scott County, Mississippi.

Their infant daughter, Mary died at age six months in 1928.

The 1930 Census revealed Frank was a farmer on his own account. He rented their farm on Rice & Harvey Road in Beat 2, Scott County, Mississippi. They were both twenty years old when married. Household members: Frank (31), Geneva (30), Frank Jr. (7), Eleanor (4) and Evelyn J. (11/12). Her father and family lived on one side and her brothers, Glover and William & families lived on the other side.

The 1940 Census revealed they rented their farm for $5 per month. They were living in Lake, Scott County, Mississippi on the same farm as in 1935. Frank had tenth grade education and Geneva had a twelfth grade education. Household members: Frank (40), Geneva (40), Frank Jr. (17), Eleanor Jean (15), Juanita (12), William (8), Wallace (6) and Henry Earl (3).

Their son, Frank (21) died in 1943 aboard the USS Liscomb which sank in the Gilbert Islands. Their son, William (15) died in 1947 in Mississippi in a plane crash.

They had been married thirty-two years when Frank died just three days after his fifty-forth birthday in 1953 in Madison County, Mississippi.

I met Geneva in 1963 and her sister, Kate was living with her in Canton, Mississippi. Her daughter, Jean & family and son, Henry & family lived across the street. Kate continued living with Geneva until her death in 1986.

Public Records 1984 revealed Geneva Price Lea resided at 338 Wilson Street in Canton, Mississippi.

S.S.D.I. (Social Security Death Index) revealed Geneva P. Lea was born on March 31, 1900. Her Social Security card was issued in 1973 in Mississippi, she resided in Canton, Madison County, Mississippi. Geneva died on February 27, 1989.

{{Mrs. Geneva P. Lea, 88 formerly of 338 Wilson St. died Monday, February 27, at Long Beach, Mississippi. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, from the Breeland Chapel with interment in the Canton Cemetery. Rev. Harry Hawkins officiated with Rev Allen Winstead assisting.

A native of Scott County, Mrs. Lea moved to Canton in 1941 and had lived in Long Beach for the past two years due to illness. She was the widow of the late Frank Lea who died in 1953. She was a member of the St. John's Methodist Church and of the Women's Missionary Society at St. John's Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lea is survived by three sons; Wallace Lea and Roy Lea both of Atlanta and Henry Earl Lea of Birmingham; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Juanita) Graves of Long Beach and Mrs. Stephen F. (Jean) Davi of Canton; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: James Lord, Joe Quartaro, James Myers, Johnny Graves, Jim Snyder and Charlie Crockett. Honorary pallbearers were; Edmond Parker, Jimmy Dorsey, John A. Cox, L.H. Johnson, Albert Morgan, Calvin Morgan, Claude Gould and Sam Holden.}}

Their son, William and Geneva's sister, Kate are also buried in the plot with them.
