John R. Barlow is my Great Grandfather. He married Allie B. Dry (Tippah County, Mississippi) in 1902. He had 2 daughters: Clyde Barlow and Nettie Sarah Barlow (my Grandmother). I was told as a child that John disappeared and believed murdered!! John's father, James, must have known Allie's father, Charles Franklin Dry, as they were both CSA soldiers from Mississippi... that must be how John met Allie - through their fathers' friendship.
