Margaret T. Dimmick, of Montour Falls, passed away peacefully on Nov 9, 2012.

A scholar, mother, grandmother, she was born in Detroit, MI to Thomas and Maggie Tucker on Oct 30, 1915.

After graduating from Maygrove College and Wayne University in Detroit, she taught in the Detroit Public Schools. After her marriage to Wayne M. Dimmick she taught Latin, English, Reading and Elementary at Odessa-Montour School.

She was an active communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen.

Her husband Wayne predeceased Margaret in 2010.

She is survived by her children, Maureen (Jack) Huebsch, Janet McKnight, Nancy (Bill) Bennett, Paul (Terrie) Dimmick, and Perry (Lindsay Ruth) Dimmick; as well as her grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Huebsch, Todd, Ben, and Matthew McKnight, Chad (Anne) and Danny (Heidi) Bennett; and g-grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Orion, and Laurel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Mon Nov 12, 2012 at St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen.

Memorial donations may be sent to St. Mary's Restoration Fund, 905 N. Decatur St., Watkins Glen, or Seneca View Skilled Nursing, 220 Steuben St., Montour Falls, NY.
