She was raised in Missouri, but after reaching young adulthood had moved to Iowa, and by the time of the 1920 census she was residing in Burlington.
In 1921 she married Burton Isham "Burt" Brumm (1894-1952), who was the son of William Brumm (1850-1919) and Helena Vandalia (Thomas) Brumm (1854-1922). Burt was a twin, his twin brother being Byron Isaac "Bud" Brumm (1894-1951). Burt's occupation was electrician, Garnet worked for a department store. They had no children.

Garnet Wright Brumm, 98, of Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 1994, at the hospital.
Born June 26, 1895, in Athens, Missouri, she was the daughter of George and Lydia Coburn Wright. On August 10, 1921, she married Burton Brumm in Kahoka, Missouri. He died April 2, 1952.
Mrs. Brumm had been a seamstress for Carson Pirie Scott and in her home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Earl Wright of Bloomfield, and Clyde Wright of rural West Point; and nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Friends may call after noon today at Prugh's Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. Brumm will be at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel with the Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
