Passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Creighton University Medical Center-St. Joseph Hospital. Mr. Robertson was born in Farmville, VA to John and Maxine Robertson. At the age of 13 he moved to New York where he completed high school and enlisted into the US Air Force where he served his country as an Intelligence Computer Director and recruiter for more than 20 years. Leo was a staunch proponent of the Air Force and was instrumental in guiding many young people, including family members, into successful careers with the Air Force. Throughout his enlistment Leo was stationed at various Air Force bases around the world which included places such as Morocco and England. He was also the proud recipient of several good conduct and meritorious longevity metals. After his military career Mr. Robertson spent time working to guide college students at a local community college. Shaping young minds and offering them advice and assistance was his strong suit. He also worked in the crime lab at the Omaha Police Department until he retired from there while continuing to make his home in Omaha for over 40 years. Leo is survived by his son, Dirk Robertson; his daughter, Tonya Robertson; his brothers, Carl and John Robertson; his sister; Clara Johns; various nieces, nephews and several other relatives. He was predeceased by his brother, Butch Robertson; sisters, Emma Shelton, Juanita Sawyer, Francine Monroe.
