Mrs. Thomas retired in 1973 from Memorial Hospital in Logansport, where she worked in housekeeping for 10 years. Before that, she worked at Gilman Garment in Gilman, IL, for 11 years. She was a member of Fulton (IN) Baptist Church. Her hobbies were gardening sewing, baking and playing piano.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Helen (Mrs. Howard) Talbert of Onarga, IL, Ruby Frances Meyer of Carlinville, IL, and Virginia "Jenny" Wilson of Flora; Clora Ebert of Onarga, who was raised in her home; 18 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death. Service Sept. 5, Baker Funeral home, Flora, the Rev. Bob Hine officiating; internment Burlington Cemetery.
