Joseph Lecitshon, of Poplar Street, Plains, died Tuesday evening in Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Stanley and Katherine Petroka Lecitshon.

He was educated in Wilkes-Barre schools and resided in Plains Township for the past 46 years.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Maternity Church, Wilkes-Barre, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the medical corps in the European Theater.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1979; a grandson, Charles Brown Jr.; brothers, John and Michael Lecitshon; sisters, Mary Mann and Anna Yow.

Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. John (Theresa) Fromel, Mountaintop; Mrs. Charles (Jane) Brown, Plains; sons, Joseph Jr. and William, both of Wilkes-Barre; Francis, Plains; a brother, Alex Leciston, Clifton, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Sophie Farnalik, Garfield, N.J.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 S. River St., Plains.

Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Burial Park, Dallas.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

A memorial Mass will be at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday April 10 in St. Mary of the Maternity Church.
