LOCKE, Carolyn Burke, 71, a resident of Wetumpka, AL., died Friday, June 9, 2006 after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, June 15, 2006 at the Marion Cemetery in Marion, AL. Dr. Larry Teasley of the Marion United Methodist Church will be the presiding clergy. Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mrs. Locke was an alumna of the University of Alabama. She was raised in Greensboro, Alabama, and was an employee of the Alabama House of Representatives where she retired in August 2003. She is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Mr. Judson C. Locke, Jr., her son, James H. Locke, and brother, Thomas Jackson Burke. Her parents were the late James "Jim" Jackson Burke and Maud Maharrey Burke of Greensboro. She is survived by three children,a sister, and grandchildren, as well as other mem-bers of her extended family. Visita-tion will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home.
