Billy Ray Williams, went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 14, 2011. He was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruthard and Agnes Hurst Williams; brother, J.D. Williams; grandparents, Isaac and Glennie Hurst and James D. and Ollie Loveday Williams and his wife's parents, Don and Maggie Shults.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Phyllis Shults Williams; sisters, Norma and husband, Jimmie Proffitt; twin sister, Rita and husband, Jimmy Ivey; Ava and husband, Leon Williams; brother-in-law, Chuck and wife, Joyce Shults. Bill was a very special uncle and mentor to his nieces and nephews Keith, Larry, Jerry, Tammie, Carla, Heather, Mandy, Leslie, Josh, McKenzie, Bryson, several great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew and a host of young people he called his own; special adopted children George and Marci Pardillo and Papaw's Little Angel, Syanna.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 800 pm, with Rev. Steve Shults and Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating.
Burial will be held at 11 am Thursday, November 17, 2011 in the Norris Cemetery, Cosby.
