Mrs. Melvin Lapp,71, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday at her home in Roscoe following an illness of two years.
Gladys Funk was born May 6, 1890 in Jefferson twp., a daughter of Harrison and Edna Strain Funk, and was twice married. First in 1908 to Jeff Foster, who died July 2, 1928 and second in 1929 to Mr. Lapp, who survives.
Mrs. Lapp was a member of the Roscoe Methodist Church and a charter member of the WSCS of that church.
Surviving by her first marriage are six daughters, Mrs. Juanita Seward, Mrs. Velvia Wiggins and Mrs. Bertha Murdoch, all of Roscoe, Mrs. Opal Richcreek, Fresno Rt. 1, Mrs. Jean Shiverdecker of Ansonia Ohio, and Mrs. Ethel Wilson of Lakepark; a son, Harrison Foster, Rt.5; five stepchildren, Maynard Lapp, Mrs. Ethel Fitch, Mrs. Thelma Hahn, all of Coshocton; Nathan Lapp, Canton and Mrs. Ruth Melville of Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Vesta Miller of Route 5; a brother Claude Funk of Coshocton, 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. two brothers and a sister are deceased.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the home in charge of Rev. Ralph Hollingsworth. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery.
