Martha Wild m. 1st husband William Withers in 1843. Wm had 8 living children from his 1st marriage. Martha and Wm left Bentworth, England w/ Wms' children on Feb 21, 1844, landed in New York Apr 24, 1844, and arrived in Westfield, Chautauqua, New York May 21, 1844. They moved to Ridgeville, Monroe County, Wisconsin in 1854. Wm purchased 80 acres, cleared the land, raised stock, built a home, and the farm became one of the most productive in the county. William built a small Methodist church on his property and the Ridgeville Methodist Cemetery is located across the road and adjacent to what was the Withers farm.

Wm died Dec 10, 1876.

Martha m. 2nd husband Thomas Audlin Cliff Sept 18, 1884. They moved to Peterson, Clay County, Iowa and were members of the Masons' Welcome Lodge No. 536. Thomas Cliff died Aug 2, 1902.
