Louise M. Coe, 87, of West Burke, VT died on Saturday evening November 3, 2012 at Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, VT.

She was born in Danville, VT on August 19, 1925 the daughter or Oscar and Augusta (Fellows) Rodger. Louise graduated from Danville High School in 1943 and married Warren Gorham of Kirby that summer. He predeceased her in 1964. She later married Walter Coe in 1977.

Louise was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a three term Grand Worthy Matron. Her voice could be heard as the announcer for many local pony pulling events where her husband Walter competed with his ponies. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Walter, of West Burke; her children, Warren Gorham and wife Debbie of Kirby, Howard Gorham and wife Mary of Kirby, Rebecca Gardner of Lyndonville and Connie Davis and husband Greg of Londonderry, NH; a step-daughter, Brenda Ebode of Braintree, MA; sixteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters in-law, Laura Rodger of Newark and Shirley Rodger of Laconia, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Warren Gorham; two brothers, Richard and James Rodger; a sister, Martha Wight; and a step-son, John Coe.
