Dennis J. Driscoll of East Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton and Whitman, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the age of 77, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 50 years of the late Phyllis M. (Graveline) Driscoll. Dennis was born in Brockton, Jan. 1, 1935, a son of the late Matthew and Mary G. (McCarthy) Driscoll. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1962. After his honorable discharge, he was employed by Vulcan Corp. of Brockton for 25 years and then by Polymer Design of Rockland for 10 years. Dennis enjoyed watching sports and was an avid golfer who was a longtime member of the Brockton Country Club. He is survived by a brother, Michael Driscoll of New York; and a sister, Eileen Latham of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Daniel, James and John Driscoll and Margaret Willis. He was also a close cousin of Tom and Pat Thorburn of Brockton. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Sunday 2-5 p.m. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9 a.m. for a funeral Mass in St. John Church, East Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery with military honors.
