Marie enjoyed being a homemaker and kept her home immaculate. In her early years, she enjoyed embroidering. Marie was her husband's anchor in his soil conservation business. She took meticulous care of his books and assisted him in every way needed. She always loved gardening and fed the many birds and squirrels that frequented her yard. Marie was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church. When she was able, Marie belonged to U.M.W. and volunteered for the R.S.V.P.
Preceding Marie in death were her parents, husband, Clyde in 1987 as well as 12 siblings. She is survived by her children, Rosemarie & husband William McDuffie; Terry & wife Sheila Huffman all of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona George of Stockton, California; Irene Hatch of Newark, Ohio; brother, Lyle & wife Jo Jones of Glenwood, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
