William (Red) adkins, 64, Coshocton route 2, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Veterans administration Hospital, Cleveland, following a one-year illness.

A well known fisherman, Adkins had operated a bate shop in the Wills Creek area for several years. He was a World War II US Army veteran.

He was born aug. 25, 1906 in Pedro, Lawrence county, a son of the late James R. and Mary Delawder Adkins.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. sarah Lane, Pedro; Mrs. Rachel Weisenberger, Ironton and Mrs. Lucynthia Geyer, Chillicothe; four brothers, Floyd of wills Creek; Loren of Pedro; Frank of Coral Grove, and Merrell, of Warsaw Route, with whom he had been living during his illness; and several nieces and nephews. One sister is deceased.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawsaon Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Ronald Rearic. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
