Born Lowanda, she hated her name and changed it to Wanda in her teens. She was born in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, the youngest of four children to T.R. and Vergie Lane. Wanda moved to Ann Arbor, MI with her family at the age of six. Her mother died two years later. She was a very shy child and dropped out of school at age 16 to work as a "soda jerk" at Campus Drug Store in Ann Arbor. A few years later she met and fell in love with Stanley Wylie when he had returned from the war. She loved him unconditionally until his death in 1996, and was a devoted wife and mother all of her days until the day they were reunited on December 13th, 2010. Left to cherish her memory were her four children, Carol Corrao, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Victor, of Westland, Michigan,Tom of Jacksonville, Florida and Sue, of the home in Garden City, Michigan; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stan Wylie, her parents, TR and Virgie Rogers Lane, and three older siblings; Verma Inez Dodd, William Leslie Lane, and Mary Eileen Lane, who died in infancy.
