George W. ‘Red' Campbell, age 93, formerly of the Valley, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven, Fla. Born June 27, 1906, in east Smithfield, Pa., the son of Dr. William and Cora Kinsman Campbell. He was formerly employed as a supervisor for the Trayer Products. He moved to Florida in 1994 to live with his son, John. He is survived by sons, Wayne Campbell of Centerville, Pa., William Campbell of Woodsboro, Md., Kent Campbell of Athens, Pa., and dr. John Campbell of Winter Haven, Fla.; two daughters, Emma Jean Daniels of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Ann Johnson of Athens, Pa.; sister, Ruth Summers of Waverly, N.Y.; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Emma Campbell; a son, Richard Campbell; and a grandson, Mike Campbell. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Lowery funeral Home, 225 S. Main St., Athens, Pa. The Rev. Walter Swetnam, Burial will be in the Leroy Cemetery, Leroy, Pa. –Towanda Daily Review.
