MRS. TRAMMELL

LaFAYETTE - Mrs. Alice Mae Hooks Trammell, 68, of LaFayette died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Funeral services are planned for Friday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. CDT at Canaan Baptist Church in Welch with the Revs. L. B. Houston and Mario F. McDaniel officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Trammell is survived by four daughters, Sandra Jean Trammell, Marain Theresa (Jessie) Daniel and Pricilla Arelene (Danny) Daniel, all of LaFayette, and Vickie Dorain (Leophus) Harrison of Roanoke; three brothers, Jessie Hooks of Hartford, Conn,. and Ronnie (Cynthia) Hooks and Stanley (Cynthia) Hooks, both of Five Points; eight sisters, Hattie Brooks, Irene (Jerry) Roundtree and Jessie (Godfery) Griffin, all of Five Points, Lemerle (Leophus) Gunn and Gwendolyn Hooks, both of Detroit, Mich., Sheila (the Rev. Sanders) Higgins of Milltown, Carrie (Curtis) Copeland of LaGrange and Diane (Larry) Phillips of Roanoke; one great-aunt, Willie Lee Smith of Roanoke; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
