Mr. Christopher Allen Rhodes of Acorn Road, Nathalie died Nov. 5, 2012 at the age of 26. Mr. Rhodes was born in Norfolk on Dec. 5, 1985, and was the son of Paula Rhodes Penick and the late Mr. Aubrey 'Walter' Penick. He was married to the Mrs. Leslie Ann Wilborn Rhodes. Mr. Rhodes was a former artillery specialist with the Army National Guard, South Boston unit. In addition to his wife, survivors include one son Nathaniel Rhodes of Nathalie; one daughter, Jessica Wilborn of Nathalie; one step-daughter, Ms. Victoria Burch of South boston; two stepsons, Mr. Richard Culley and fiance' Tammy Hudson and Mr. Jeremy Culley, all of Nathalie; his mother of Scottsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Samantha Cole and husband Derek of South Boston and Ms. Lisa Penick of Yanceyville, N.C.; four brothers, Mr. Spencer Penick of Scottsburg, Mr. Chris Penick of South Boston, Mr. Shamel Coppage of Atlanta, Ga. and Mr. Aubrey Jordan of Clover; his grandmother, Mrs. Frances Rhodes; his great-grandfather, Mr. Herbert Johnson; his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carrie and Robert Wilborn and Mr. Kenneth Wilborn; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including the devoted Ms. Mary Carrington and Mr. Phil Carrington. Graveside services for Mr. Rhodes will be Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Clover Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Claiborne officiating. Family receive friends at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax. Arrangements by Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston.
