Anna Katrina Haahr was born
November 1, 1891 at Audubon,
Iowa. She was the sixth of ten
children and passed away at the
age of 88 years, 9 months and 13
days, after a brief illness.

She moved to Newell with her
family at the age of six months.
She wa s baptized and confirmed in
the Lutheran Church.

On March 25, 1914 Anna was
united in marriag e to Jorgen C.
Grau. To this union were born
eight children: Harold, Holger and
Leo of Newell; Solon of Sac City;
Ted of Sioux Rapids, Ruth Bennett
and Dorothy Stilling of California
and Ardyth Barber of Okoboji.
She wa s a life long membe r of
the Nam Luthera n Church in which
she participated actively as a
membe r of the Luthera n Church
Women . She wa s also a former
member of the Newell-Coon Neighborhood
Club and the North Fulton
Birthday Club.

She was preceded in death by
her husband George , four brothers
and three sisters.

She leaves to mourn her eight
children and their spouses, 18
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchild,
one great great grandchild,
one sister, Rosie Christensen
of Newell, one brother, Ted Haahr
of Storm Lake , as well as many
other relatives and friends.
