A native of Perry, Georgia, Mr. Holt has lived in Cobb Co. for 40 years. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and was employed with the GA D.O.T., retiring after 34 years as a Technical Services Supervisor.
He was considered a hero in January 1999 after being hit by a car on interstate 75 in Butts Co., while trying to help a motorist that had left the road.
Survivors are: wife, one son, two daughters; three brothers; two grandsons.
