A graveside service for Mr. Joe Weeks Golden, 76, of Eufaula and formerly of Georgetown, was scheduled for Friday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m. from Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan. The Reverend Roy Crowe was scheduled to officiate with Kent Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.

Mr. Golden died Thursday, October 18, at Crowne Health Care after an extended illness.

Born May 18, 1925, in Geneva County, Mr. Golden was the son of the late Joseph Love and Eura Box Golden. He had lived in the Eufaula area since 1948, coming from Geneva County. Mr. Golden was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was married to the late Evie Lorane Hadden.

Survivors include a son, Larry Joe Golden, Hatchechubee; a daughter, Sarah Golden James, Eufaula; a brother, Earl C. Golden, Dothan; and four grandchildren, Dave James, Kim James, Denver Golden, and Tyler Golden.
