Hastings resident Brenda J. (Heverly) Lucas, 60, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at her home.

Brenda was born March 1, 1952 to John E. and Sarah A. (Leathers) Heverly in Lock Haven.

She worked at the Hastings Regional Center as a Mental Health Security Specialist. She had lived in the Hastings area for 38 years coming from Howard.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hastings, Neb.

She is survived by her significant other, Brian Ferguson; two daughters, Amy Andrus and Nathan Clendenin of Hastings, Nebb. and Tracy Lucas of Kearney, Neb.; three grandchildren, Zachary, Katherine and Braxton; one sister, Julie Stem and husband Timothy and one brother, Curt Heverly and wife Janice all of Howard; five nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, Neb., with Pastor Fred Davis officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, Neb.
