Suzanne Gunn Clark passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Ventura, Calif. She was 81.

Mrs. Clark was born in Ashland on Feb. 15, 1931, and graduated from University of Miami located in Ohio in 1952.

Mrs. Clark taught grade school for several years before moving to Annapolis, where she married her husband, James M. Clark, also of Ashland, in 1957. After many years of living on the East Coast, the Clarks eventually moved to Ventura, Calif., where they have lived for the past 40 years.

In addition to being a homemaker, Mr. and Mrs. Clark enjoyed boating activities as members of Ventura Yacht Club, and Mrs. Clark worked as a Volunteer In Partnership at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, Calif., for 40 years.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim, as well as many in-laws, nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center St., Ashland, with The Rev. Sanford Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery, 523 W. Main St., Ashland.
