Ftaher of Hartford Police Chief Dies
Funeral services were held at Bangor Tuesday for Arthur Everhart, father of Hartford's police chief, who died Saturday morning at his home at Covert following a stroke. He would have been 76 years old May 9. He was born in Covert township and in 1898 married Rosetta Clinard, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Wendell of Hartford, J. O. of Comstock and Chester of Covert; three sisters, Mrs. Tony Truax, Mrs. Mildred Arnold and Mrs. Opal McConnahie, all of Covert; a brother, J. Bethel, of South Haven; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Arlington Hill cemetery.
