In 1821, Florentine married William Pendleton (1800-1839) in Amherst County Virginia. They were the parents of Frances, Zachariah, George Washington, William, and James Richard.
When Florentine's husband William died about 1838, her brother Zachariah Isbell (1811-1891) was made the guardian of Florentine's five children on or about 6 May 1839, in Gasconade County Missouri. The Bond of $600 was furnished by Davis S Woody who rests with her two sisters, Parthenia Isbell and Amiable Isbell at the Woody Cemetery in Maries County.
Florentine's daughter in law Barbara Ann Barnhart Pendleton also rests here at the Burd Family Cemetery.

Florentine Isbell Pendleton's headstone shows she "Died Aug. 17, 1856: Aged 48 Ys. 7 Ms. 14 Ds." Her birth date was therefore 3 Jan 1808.
