Cleo Lloyal Myers, a Cushing, OK resident, passed away on Thursday, November 08, 2012 in the Linwood Village Nursing Home, Cushing, OK at the age of 89 years.

The son of the late Byron and Arla Myers, Cleo was born on May 8, 1923 in Goodland, Kansas. He was raised and educated in Goodland, graduating from Goodland High School. Following high school, Cleo served in the United States Navy and Army during WWII. After receiving his honorable discharge Cleo returned to Goodland where he joined the family business, Myers Oil Company.

On January 6, 1949 Cleo was united in marriage to Melba Goodman in Goodland, KS and to this union four daughters were born. In 1966 they moved to Ponca City, OK where Cleo purchased the Quo Vadis Motel and Restaurant. After selling the motel in the early 1980's Cleo and Melba lived in Shangri La at Grand Lake and Pueblo, CO before moving to Cushing in the early 1990's. Melba preceded him in death on July 25, 1996.

Cleo had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cushing and enjoyed playing cards and golf at the Cushing Country Club.

Survivors include his four daughters and their husbands; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Cleo was preceded in death by one brother, Byron "Coke" Myers.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Cushing, OK with Reverend Mike Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, OK.
