Glenn D. Pickering, 52, Route 5; died at 7:46 a.m. Friday at St. John's Medical Center, Springfield, where he had been a patient three days. He had been ill for two weeks.
Mr. Pickering was born August 31, 1928 at Lockwood. He was employed as a truck driver for Contract Freighters for 11 years. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.
He married Sandra Kirk July 18, 1958 at Carthage. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons; Scott Pickering, Kevin Pickering and David Pickering, all of the home; a daughter Mrs. Karen Foster, 1237 River St; his mother Mrs. Mildred Pickering 726 Walnut St., three Stanley Pickering, Baxter Springs, KS; Howard Pickering, Springfield and Harold Pickering, Joplin; and three sisters: Mrs. Betty Hill, Route 1; Mrs. Bonnie Bowles, Springfield; and Mrs. Peggy Back, Houston, Texas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
