TOOELE - Giles Leon Vance, 82, died March 19, 1987 in Tooele.

Born July 11, 1904, in Milburn, Utah to Isaac Moroni and Mary Elizabeth Housekeeper Vance. Married Erda Alaine Robertson September 25, 1929, in the Manti LDS temple. She died October 10, 1983. High Priest in LDS Church, foreman of the power plant at International Smelting and Refining Co. Enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling. Member of Tooele Senor Citizens.

Survivors: son, Arden A., West Jordan/ daughters, Helen Reynolds and Mrs. Howard (Gayle) Yerke, both of Tooele; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Aaron (May) Shepherd, American Fork; brother, Rex Vance, Murray. Preceded in death by four brothers, Asoel, Ezra, Adral, Clyde.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 24, 12 noon, the the Tooele 4th-14th Ward, 192 West 2nd South. Friends may call Tote Mortuary Monday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the church on Tuesday. Internment, Tooele City Cemetery.
