Reunited with his father, Joseph Worthen Hughes; mother, Bertha Christinia Larsen Hughes; and half-brothers and half-sister, Dar Hughes, Worthen Hughes, Helen Hahn; and a granddaughter, Larissa Jenkins, Kenith McCoy Hughes passed away peacefully at home. Born and raised in Mount Pleasant Utah, he graduated from North Sanpete High School, Class of 1954. Married in the Salt Lake Temple August 24, 1956 to Faye LaPreal Huber, he served in the National Guard and the Army Reserves.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1972, Kenith was employed at Hercules as an Engineering Technician and as an accountant with Gibbons & Reed and Memorial Estates in sales and was the top salesman.

For 15 years Kenith influence many young men who passed through the Boy Scouts of America organization under his guidance. Exhibiting leadership, he served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a stake financial clerk, ward clerk, in two bishoprics and branch presidency at the Detention Center, and in the Sunday School, Young Men and Elders Quorum. Having traveled to 47 states and 12 countries, Kenith enjoyed doing genealogy, purchasing and restoring old cars, working and learning about historical places and people.

Surviving family members include his companion of 48 years, Faye L. Hughes; one son, Eric Hughes (Leslie); five daughters, Corrinne Ackerman (Wayne), Rhonda Sherman (Layne), Lynette Carlston (Gary), Shelly Saxton (Gary), and Andrea Jenkins; 22 grandchildren, and four great-granddaughters; two brothers, Wayne D. Hughes and Ralph L. Hughes (Vallene); and one sister, Jolene R. Duke (Cal).
