GEORGE VANDE LOO

George J. Vande Loo, age 82, of 335 Millersville Ave., Howards Grove, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at St. Nicholas Hospital where he had been a patient for two days.

He was born in Cleveland, Wis., on April 8, 1917, a son of the late George and Rose Junk VandeLoo. George married Gertrude Lieteritz on Sept. 2, 1944 at St. Wendel Catholic Church in Cleveland.
He was a prominent Manitowoc County farmer and Holstein breeder, working on his farm in the Town of Meeme until retiring and moving to Howards Grove in 1973.
After retiring from the farm, George shared his knowledge and love of farming with others, working in the form of farm sales for the Braun Electric Co., of St. Nazianz until 1980. Gertrude preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 1980.
George was affiliated with numerous farm organizatioins in Manitowoc County. He was an active longtime member of St. Isadore Catholic Church of Osman.

Surviving George are two daughters, Patt and Marry (Bob Doherty), both of Elkhart Lake; a granddaughter, Stacie Vande Loo of Milwaukee; his longtime companion, Arline Reichardt of Sheboygan; a sister, Angeline VandeLoo of
Sheboygan. He is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three brothers and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for George on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at 10 am at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Osman with the Rev. Gilbert
Jacobs O.P. As celebrant. Interment will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Town of Meeme.
