Arthur A. Stein Sr., 70, of Rt. 1, Newton, died Monday morning at St. Nicholas
Hospital, Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel
and 10 a.m. in St. Isidore Catholic Church, Osman. The Rev. Norbert Stein will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Spring Valley.
Mr. Stein was born April 11, 1907 in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Peter
and Theresa Schneider Stein. He attended St. Fidelis School in the Town of Meeme.
He married Rosa Baer, Oct. 2, 1929 in St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
They lived on the Stein home farm in Meeme their entire married life. He was
employed by Kohler Co., Kohler, for seven years. He was a member of St. Isidore
Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, five, sons, Raymond of West Allis, Harold of Cleveland,
Rev. Norbert Stein SSJ, of Reserve, La., Arthur Jr. of Sheboygan and Kenneth of
Kiel; six daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Karen) Jung of Manitowoc, Mrs. Steve (Rosann)
Hermans and Sister Rosemary (Darlene) Stein of Green Bay, Mrs. Jerry (Mary Ann)
Keps of Dixon, Ill., and Mrs. Joe (Lucille) Bender and Mrs. Michael (Joan) Ostertag
of Sheboygan; two brothers, William of Chilton and Alfred of Sheboygan; four
sisters, Mrs. Peter Felton of Sheboygan, Mrs. John Meyer of St. Nazianz, and Mrs.
Edward Jung and Mrs. Elmer Schill of Manitowoc, 37 grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. A daughter, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call in the funeral home 4 o'clock this Tuesday afternoon until the
time of service Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock.
