ROSE SEIPEL

Mrs. Andrew Seipel, 77, of Spring Valley, died early today at St. Nicholas Hospital where she had been a patient for nine weeks.
She was born March 11, 1883 in the Town of Meeme, the daughter of the late Anton and Caroline (Hauk) Willmas. On June 11, 1907 she married Andrew Seipel in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at School Hill. They settled in the Town of Meeme where they operated a feed and saw mill for many years. The century-old landmark was destroyed by fire in 1952. The same year they purchased the Spring Valley Store in which building they made their home since.
She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the Christian Mothers Society of St. Fidelis Catholic Church at Spring Valley, prior to its merging with St. Isadore's Church at Osman.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Matt (Elizabeth) Hauch of Kellnersville and Mrs. Ed (Marcella) Backhaus of St. Nazianz; one son, Sylvester
Seipel of Sheboygan; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nicholas and Frank Willmas of Spring Valley, and one sister, Mrs. Cyrus Hagen of Evanston, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one son, Roman, fatally injured in a highway construction accident near Oshkosh in June, 1959; one grandchild; one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Isadore's Catholic Church in Osman, with the Rev. Alfred M. Loehr, pastor, celebrant of the requiem Mass.
Burial will be in the St. Fidelis Cemetery, Spring Valley.
Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapels, Cleveland, after 7 p.m. Saturday, and a parish rosary will be said at the funeral chapel at 8 p.m. Saturday.
