Notes From Osman:
On Tuesday of last week occurred the death of Mr. John Bertche (sic), one of
the oldest and best known residents of Meeme. He was engaged in farming until
a few years ago when he disposed of his farm and has since lived a retired life
in the village of School Hill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Heckman. The
funeral took place on Friday with interment at Meeme.
